OpenGalaxies reaches a halt.

We haven't announced anything in quite some time, but we took what was supposed to be a temporary break from developing our server to go and help SWGANH launch their project to the open source world. However, each of our team members has become increasingly busy ever since. We had hoped to gain more momentum being completely open source around the board, but that never really happened and was overshadowed with the good things our friends at SWGANH are doing. The project as it stands is a bit too daunting for us to continue in addition to our personal lives, which are twice as busy as they were when we began this adventure.
OpenGalaxies development is officially coming to a halt. Our GitHub repository and our Wiki and other areas of our website/forums will remain standing for the benefit of anyone who may view them.
We had a lot of fun and learned a lot, and we also received a lot of support from our peers on the other teams and in the many server communities. We extend a huge thanks to everyone who took an interest in or encouraged us in this endeavor. Any effort on our parts from this point onward will more than likely be directed towards helping SWGANH's open source emulator.

OpenGalaxies was founded on March 7, 2009. Today marks one year since OpenGalaxies was established. Our first year focused on planning, experimental prototyping, and research and documentation, and we are quite pleased with our progress to date. It seems like time has flown by at lightspeed, but we have enjoyed a very good year and are looking forward to our future.
